Milton Bruce "Milt" Ottey (born December 29, 1959 in May Pen, Clarendon, Jamaica) is a retired Canadian high jumper. Milt came to Canada at the age of 10 years. He attended and graduated high school within the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). He received a full athletic scholarship from the University of Texas El Paso, where he received his bachelor's degree in education.After retiring from active competition Ottey spent several years coaching in various universities throughout the United States, including University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), Kent State University and University of New Mexico before moving back to Toronto.
