Deirdre is the author of LOVE OR SOMETHING LIKE IT (Random House, 2009). She is currently a TV writer in Los Angeles, where she writes for the upcoming CBS drama American Gothic. Her other TV credits include American Dreams, Close to Home, Life Unexpected, and Jane by Design. She started her writing career as a newspaper journalist and has also written for advertising and marketing campaigns. She is married with two sons, ages 3 and 5.
