Vera Grabocka

Short Biography

Tirana based, celebrated TV director and producer VERA Grabocka is the most acknowledged TV personality of Albania. Her work has been nationally and internationally recognized. She is one of the Albanian personalities to have received the Albanian Oscar for forwarding the Albanian cause in the last century. The international success of programs like Miss Europe 1996, World Sport Dance and World Folk Dance with viewership of over 200 million, was followed by the invention of Euro-Video Grand Prix an event that celebrates European music and music video-clip. The first edition of this event brought together in Tirana artists from 27 different countries. The event was broadcasted live in over 20 TV European networks.Her art is unique and represents the development of a country like Albania. VERA has transited from the TV director of the Albanian song festival to producing big TV shows. She has brought together in her shows all the forms of visual art equally celebrating: music, song, dance, film and the country of Albania.
