Jerod Mayo, Sr (born February 23, 1986) is a former American football linebacker who spent his entire National Football League (NFL) career playing for the New England Patriots. He played college football for the University of Tennessee. Mayo was drafted by the Patriots tenth overall in the 2008 NFL Draft, and was named the 2008 AP NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.
