Short Biography
Jane Fearer received her BA from Harvard/Radcliffe, and earned graduate degrees from Oxford University in Social Anthropology, and the Not-for-Profit Management program at Columbia Business School. She has been the Executive Director of Anthology Film Archives and of Survival International (USA) and held senior positions at the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and at the New York Hall of Science. Fearer Safer is also the author of two books including Spiral from the Sea: An Anthropological Look at Shells.
