Jon Hager was born on August 30, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He was an actor, known for Hee Haw (1969), The 5th Annual TV Land Awards (2007) and Celebrity Bowling (1971). He died on January 9, 2009 in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.Trivia (12)Identical twin brother of Jim Hager.The brothers were featured in the second preview issue of Playgirl, February, 1973.He and his twin brother were raised in Park Ridge, Illinois.The Hager twins were adopted by Jack and Frances Hager, a Methodist minister and a teacher.They sang in their church choir. As teenagers, they sang on a local TV show. Both were also guitarists and drummers.Both brothers served in the Army.After their Army service, they moved to California. They worked in a Los Angeles club, where they were backup performers for Kenny Rogers, John Denver, and the Carpenters. A gig at Disneyland got them noticed by Buck Owens, who signed them to a contract.Part of the original cast of Hee Haw (1969), the twosome stayed aboard for 19 years.The twins began performing a comedy act in Chicago as teenagers and made appearances on a local Saturday morning TV show.Jon, who declined in health after his brother's death, passed away in his sleep just eight months after Jim died of a heart attack in May of 2008.In 1969, the duo signed with Capitol Records and charted five singles, on of which was the country hit, "Gotta Get To Oklahoma ('Cause California's Gettin' To Me)".In one '70s episode of TV's "The Bionic Woman", Jim and Jon played cloned soldiers from another planet.
