Matthew Carle (born September 25, 1984) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman currently playing for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL). Carle has previously played in the NHL with the San Jose Sharks and Philadelphia Flyers, the former of which drafted him in the second round, 47th overall, in 2003.
