Simon earned Master's degrees in English Literature from Oxford and Stanford Universities before receiving his Master's in screenwriting from UCLA Film School, where he won numerous awards, including a Samuel Goldwyn Award, the first British Academy Scholarship, and a Harmony Gold Award of Excellence. He was also a Finalist in the Disney Fellowship and twice reached the Semifinals of the Nicholl Fellowship.An award-winning travel and ski journalist, Simon's work has been featured in such publications as TIME magazine, the Sunday Telegraph, Daily Mail, Evening Standard, Fall Line, Ski and Board, Harpers and Queen, and Malibu magazine.Simon's notorious book "The Rich Bastard's Guide to Los Angeles" was chosen as Book of the Month in both Maxim and FHM and was listed as one of GQ's 25 essential purchases in LA.
