Short Biography
Soon Ho Lee is the current head of Songahm Taekwondo, the American Taekwondo Association. He was given the title at ATA's World Championships in June, 2002, succeeding his brother Haeng Ung Lee. As the Grand Master, he is the only 9th Degree Black Belt and the head of the Masters Council. In 1969, Soon Ho Lee joined H.U. Lee in the United States. His goal was to expand his academic opportunities, at the time he did not intend to become a tae kwon do instructor. In June 2010, Soon Ho Lee announced that he will be giving up his title as Grand Master and he will pass it on to his cousin In Ho Lee. In Ho Lee will be put in a high intensity training and will train people in many different places. This trip will be called the Vision Tour.
