Anne Avril Nightingale MBE (born 1 April 1940) is an English radio and television broadcaster. She is more commonly known by the more informal forename Annie. She was the first female presenter on BBC Radio 1 and is its longest-serving presenter, ahead of the late John Peel who was a regular broadcaster from the launch of the station in 1967 until his death in October 2004.
