Rebecca Root (born 10 May 1969) is a British actress and stand-up comedian. She was rated 18th in The Independent on Sunday's Rainbow List 2014, which named her as one of the very few openly trans actresses in mainstream television, alongside Laverne Cox and Adèle Anderson. She plays the leading role in the 2015 BBC2 sitcom Boy Meets Girl.
