Edward L. 'Eddie' Hall1912-1963Eddie Hall was an extra/bit/featured player in upwards of 60 films circa 1937-1947, but he appeared in less than a handful of westerns and serials. In addition to the Crabbe SHADOWS OF DEATH, he worked in CALABOOSE (UA, 1943) which featured Jimmy Rogers and Noah Beery, Jr., and the cliffhanger DON WINSLOW OF THE COAST GUARD. He also worked in many of the Hal Roach streamliners. He was not the same Eddie Hall that was in some Educational shorts circa 1936-37.Parry Hall has some pay records from his father, who was paid $173.00 for his second lead work in SHADOWS OF DEATH.Hall was born on February 3, 1912 in Chicago, IL and passed away from a heart attack on February 19, 1963 in Granada Hills, CA. Parry notes that his father was best pals with Tom Neal, Huntz Hall was a good friend, and Eddie was also Tom Brown's double and good friend. Hall's agent was Jack Pomeroy-Bob Brandies.Hall and his first wife Pat had a Las Vegas wedding ceremony in May, 1944, but the couple later divorced.
