He became interested in the paranormal in 2006, when he had a supernatural experience in Gettysburg, v*rginia. He founded the Provincetown Paranormal Research Society in Provincetown, Massachusetts. He then earned a spot in Syfy's spin off Ghost Hunters Academy in 2010 and was selected to be Amy Bruni's new co-host in the show.He married his partner Ben Griessmeyer in Provincetown, Massachusetts in 2012.
