Chelsey Davis is a multimedia journalist and traffic reporter for CBS 5 News.Chelsey, an Arizona-native, joined the CBS 5 News family soon after graduating with a Broadcast Journalism degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in May of 2013.Follow Chelsey on Twitter for updates on your commuteLike Chelsey on FacebookChelsey started as a fill-in traffic reporter in July of 2013. Since then, Chelsey has taken on the role of presenting the feature news, including stories from upcoming events to exclusive looks inside the Arizona Cardinals' stadium. Now, she is officially part of the Start Smart Morning Team helping you Drive Smart as the traffic reporter.Chelsey is a Jill-of-all-trades. When she's not at CBS 5 News, she freelances for the Arizona Cardinals, who she is a die-hard fan of. She has worked in their broadcast and media department during the day as talent, while also shooting and editing pieces on the official Cardinals website. Chelsey has also been the host for the annual Big Red Rib and Music Festival three times, drawing thousands of fans each year. In addition, she was an Arizona Cardinals cheerleader for five seasons, and captain for two. Chelsey has developed the cheerleading brand as a team choreographer, and an ambassador for tours across the nation and overseas. She also coordinated and hosted the Jr. Cheer weekend for hundreds of little girls across the valley. Chelsey will always be honored to wear the Pro Bowl title for 2014.Chelsey believes everything happens for a reason and that her accelerated experience in newsrooms across her home state got her to where she is today. She interned at KNXV, and then moved over to the print side as a breaking news reporter for Gannett. She transferred back over to broadcast as a producer at KPNX. Before graduating, she also helped launch and co-anchor a sports talk show at ASU and anchored the weather and reported for the award-winning NewsWatch program airing on PBRead more:
