John Allen Astin (born on May 20, 1930 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA) is an American actor, voice actor, radio actor and stage actor who has appeared in numerous films and several famous television shows. Astin is also a television director and a voice artist who is perhaps best known for the most proiment roles of Gomez Addams on The Addams Family, Evil Roy Slade and many other similarly eccentric comedic characters. Astin was also the second actor who played a villain known as The Riddler on the second season of the 1960s Batman live-action TV series, replacing Frank Gorshin due to rumors of a dispute between the producers and Gorshin about money.
