Alan B. Bursteen

Short Biography

Alan B. Bursteen is the President of New City Releasing, Inc. A 35-year veteran in the entertainment industry, Bursteen has an extensive background in motion picture production, acquisitions, sales and distribution. In 1991, Bursteen formed New City Releasing, a feature film production and placement company. While at the helm of New City, he became one of the most prominent licensing agents of independent feature films in the United States. His established track record for negotiating deals has made him a key figure in the independent marketplace. Bursteen has successfully licensed over 750 motion pictures, produced more than 115 feature films and over 100 hours of television series. Bursteen holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Arizona State University, and is a member of IFP (Independent Feature Project), AFI (American Film Institute), NATPE (National Association of Programming Television Executives), ATAS (Academy of Television Arts & Sciences), and The PGA (Producers Guild of America).
