Alex Michael Coury

Short Biography

Alex Michael Coury was born on January 7, 1991 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Being the youngest and only boy of 4 siblings, Alex honed in on his ability to stand out. From an early age, Alex was always entertaining his family, teachers and peers with impersonations and voices. When he was five, Alex went with his family to see the play Grease where he was called up to the stage by the cast for an audience dance competition; he took the gold over several adults by impersonating Danny Zuko and it's safe to say he caught the bug to become an actor and entertainer.Alex spent his 7th and 8th grade year at Missouri Military Academy where he received exemplary grades, joined the brigadier team and stayed very active in sports. At 14, Alex graduated from military school and went back home to attend high school at Bishop Kelley. He remained, as always, very outgoing and unique. Alex received key roles in school performances and was also active in several different plays in the Tulsa community. During his senior year, he was voted Drama King by the student body. In 2009, he received his diploma and left Tulsa to pursue acting at the New York Film Academy in Burbank, CA. After three years at the Academy and a valet job at the Sunset Tower Hotel, Alex landed his first agency audition and continues to penetrate the entertainment industry.Alex moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career when he was 17. He received his Bachelors in Fine Arts at The New York Film Academy in Burbank. He worked with The Brogan Agency in California and was cast in a number of roles including a shackled inmate in Coldwater and the prom king in Avril Lavigne's new music video "Here's to Never Growing Up." Acting is Alex's biggest passion. He is a driven and talented young man with abilities that stretch from comedic and dramatic acting. He is well rounded in accents, voice over work and impersonations.Alex trained at Playhouse West in Hollywood, Craig Colvin O/C Commercial and with Gary Imhoff. He trained, as well, in stage combat by Jack Wang. Alex is also the Corporate Director of Qaulity Assurance for the Ambassador Hotel Collection. Balancing his career and the family business comes easily for Alex; a person with fierce drive, ambition and the desire to always improve and learn more skills on stage and screen.
