Alona Frankel (Hebrew: אלונה פרנקל, June 27, 1937) is a Polish-born Israeli writer and illustrator of many, classic children's books as well as recently published poetic memoirs for young adults. She was born in Kraków, Poland, and is a holocaust survivor. In 1949, Alona immigrated to Israel.
