Andrea Moar was born on August 11, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio, as Andrea Rosemary Murphy. She was an actress, known for Rituals (1984), All My Children (1970) and Remington Steele (1982). She was married to Carlos Schenck. She died on January 13, 2012 in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico.Trivia She was a supporter of the Sir Tyrone Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota and their Actor Training Program. She is a direct descendant of Captain James Lawrence of the War of 1812 who cried "Don't give up the ship!.". Daughter of the late Paul J. Murphy Jr. MD, a psychiatrist and Dimitria Sarhanis Murphy, a former ballet dancer from the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Carlos H. Schenck MD of the Minnesota Regional Sleep Disorders Center and Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota.; her sister, Sheila Murphy Moar and her husband, James Moor of St. Paul, MInnesota; her niece Amanda Murphy and her nephew, Zachary Murphy; her brother, Douglas Paul Murphy MD (Associate Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at v*rginia Commonwealth University in Ivy, v*rginia with his wife, Elaine Murphy; children Kali Murphy and Max Murphy of Ivy, v*rginia. She was born in Dayton, Ohio but she was raised in Princeton, New Jersey where she graduated from Princeton High School in Princeton, New Jersey. She graduated from Davidson College in North Carolina with a Bachelor's Degree. She was a tennis player who won the New Jersey High School State Championship. She was also a photographer. She was interested in jewelry and gemology.
