Short Biography
A member of Actor's Equity since 2000, Angie has performed on nearly all Seattle's major stages, as well as large regional tour houses like St. Paul's Ordway Center and Houston's Theatre Under The Stars. A writer and musician, she's penned screenplays and songs for the award-winning feature films "Gory Gory Hallelujah" (in which she also starred) and "Switchmas", starring Elliott Gould. She is frontwoman and songwriter for Weimar-inspired band The Love Markets; their albums "World Of Your Dreams" (2013) and "Beauty Factory" (2016) are available right here. Thanks to musical theatre, Angie's been cut in half by a magician, pulled around stage in a cart by a pony who accidentally pooped during the opening number, shared scenes with dogs, rabbits and boa constrictors, roller-skated onstage, wrestled three hillbilly brothers, originated the roles of a vaudeville diva and a jazz beatnik, worked with Charles Strouse and Judy Kaye, danced with Cheyenne Jackson, and been tossed in the air by a baseball team. As an indie film actress, she's been burned at the stake, fought over by a clown and a mime, ridden a cannon, risen from the dead, and played Mrs. Claus in outer space. As an actor-instrumentalist, she's been a beehived housewife who plays a mean rock piano (5th Avenue Theatre, "Buddy Holly Story"), a Nazi prostitute who plays accordion (5th Avenue and regional tour, "Cabaret"), and a cool dog who somehow plays both (Seattle Children's Theatre's beloved "Go, Dog! Go!"). On August 13, 2016, Angie and The Love Markets celebrated the release of their second album "Beauty Factory" at ACT's Falls Theatre. Remaining appearances in 2016 include NextFest at The 5th Avenue Theatre, a centerpiece performance with The Love Markets at GSBA's Equalux Gala, end-of-year cheer at Egan's Ballard Jamhouse, and a special guest performance with Sandbox Radio Collective at ACT. Watch for a piece on Angie and a studio performance by The Love Markets on TV's "ArtZone with Nancy Guppy", airing January 27.
