Celeste began her music carrier in 2002 when she was discovered by producer Channel 7 (formerly 7 Aurelius). Celeste was first released as an artist through Def Jam/The Inc. Records on the Ja Rule album The Last Temptation (album) on the single "Murder Reigns" where Celeste sings the hook. In 2003, Celeste co-wrote the single, "I Need a Man" with Foxy Brown (rapper) and was featured as an artist on the single as well. The album, "Ill Na Na 2: The Fever" scheduled for a May 6, (2003) release date, was canceled.In 2004, Celeste was chosen as one of the 19 finalists by Sean Combs on Making the Band 3: Danity Kane (2005-2006). After Making The Band 3, Celeste became a group rounds semi-finalist on season 5 of "American Idol.Celeste won first place at the (2009) U.S.A Songwriting Competition for a song she co-wrote called "Red Light" which was produced by Brian Kennedy and she co-wrote "Once In A Lifetime" on the Raekwon Staten Go Hard 2009 mix tape.
