Short Biography

Two of my great passions in life are travel and photography.I believe that travel broadens one's view of the world. Experiencing other cultures, meeting people from other countries and seeing the beauty, and sometimes ugliness, of the world has helped me understand that all of our lives are at once interconnected and individual. It has made me better appreciate my own home and culture as well as that of the people I've met and the lands I've seen and I have become a much more tolerant person as a result.My passion for photography started after being exposed to the European Fashion Industry when I was younger. Armed with this interest in the art and the determination to learn, I took a crash course in PHOTOGRAPHY in LA.I view mine photography as a subtractive process, a distilling of beauty/fashion/gleam into a personal vision. I enjoy pushing the boundaries of what my digital equipment can do, and I often use a combination of optical and digital techniques in the creation of my photographs. I find that while digital post-processing allows me to more quickly realize a final image than film would. I believe if you are passionate about what you do, you will be a success no matter what. If you are committed to your profession, your work will stand the test of time. If you think outside the box, you will always be on the cutting edge. If you are comfortable where you are at, you aren't achieving your potential.
