Short Biography

Dominika van Santen is a multifaceted Actress, Model, Dancer and a beauty contestant of Dutch and Venezuelan ancestry.van Santen graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications (Film, Radio, and Television). At the same time, she danced ballet and has been doing it since. At the age of 18, van Santen commenced her modeling career. When her father saw an article in the newspaper regarding a beauty contestant insisted that Dominika entered the contest. Dominika was a little reluctant at first but eventually gave into her father's request, entered the competition and ended as the winner. After discovered by Nidal Nouaihed, van Santen entered Miss Venezuela beauty pageant as Miss Península Goajira 2005.After the beauty pageant, she was offered numerous modeling gigs with local and international companies like Pepsi, Philips, Swarovski and Diesel Clothing among others. She has appeared on magazine covers like EME, Facetas and Tendencia Maracaibo in Venezuela and fashion campaigns like PURE London Fashion Show, Gallo (beer) in Guatemala. Also, appeared in an editorial & Interview for Maxim magazine (Holland) in November 2006.Van Santen was selected by World Beauty Organization to represent Margarita Island - Venezuela at Top Model of the World 2005 held in Humen, China. She was the second Venezuelan to win the competition, after Jacqueline Aguilera in 1995.As the reigning Top Model of the World, van Santen traveled the world to continue working in the industry. As of October 2006, van Santen visited several countries including China, USA, The Netherlands, Spain, and her home country of Venezuela. Van Santen headed to one of Europe's fashion and Film centers, London and signed with model, dancing, and acting talented agencies. She has worked as a model and gained massive experience while posing for magazine covers, commercials, and video clips. In London, she started her acting training at the Central School of Speech and Drama and at Michael John's Acting Academy for Film & TV. It brought her to the big screen where you can see her in The Prince of Persia, Snowhite and the Huntsman, Two and a Half men Promo for Comedy Central. She has expanded her career even further into the USA.
