Donna Spangler’s work as an actress, filmmaker, model, fitness guru and writer have delighted her fans and earned her a reputation as a respected and multi-talented Hollywood personality. Donna was born in Los Angeles, and she knew she wanted to be an entertainer at a young age. Donna was among the “POWW: Powerful Women of Wrestling” in 1987, playing the “Coal Miner’s Daughter.” She continued acting and modeling, appearing on popular television shows like “Blossom, ” “In Living Color” and “The Man Show.” In 1996, Donna was cast in the film “Matilda.” Her film career also includes “Space Girls in Beverly Hills, ” which she also wrote and produced; “American Poltergeist, ” which she produced; and “Beverly Hills Christmas, ” which she also produced. She’s currently acting in and producing “Beverly Hills Christmas II, ” which could be released in late 2017. Her next film, “The Portal, ” is scheduled to begin production this year. Donna loves producing films that fit a variety of genres: comedies, supernatural films and family movies. “Space Girls in Beverly Hills” is considered a campy cult classic. The film, about three aliens who land in Beverly Hills, was featured in Sci-Fi magazine. “Beverly Hills Christmas, ” meanwhile, co-starred actor Dean Cain and first aired on UPtv in 2015. A year later, it won “Best TV Movie” at the Arts 4 Peace awards in Los Angeles. “American Poltergeist, ” which Donna also starred in, is an indie supernatural film about the infamous Lizzie Borden hauntings in Fall Rivers, Massachusetts. Donna is a pioneer in web, film, TV and reality show production. In 1999, she began filming web episodes of a show she wrote and edited called “Scandals.” That was during the early days of the Internet, when many people still considered it a fad. She’s currently working on “Pet Moms, ” a reality show about Southern California girlfriends and their fur families that is scheduled to air on Amazon Prime as a web show. Another reality show, titled “Glamour to Clamour” highlights the ups and downs of building renovation in the Midwest. It is currently in production.
