Júlia Peraire (born Júnia Peraire i Ricarte in 1888 - 1941) was Modernism painter Ramon Casas' muse, lover and wife.She appears in more than 120 paintings and drawings for over 25 years. She came from a modest family and had a very strong personality. They met in 1905 when she was just 17 and he was 39. It's confused how they met. It was in the Maison Dorée cafe, where she was an amulant seller, and they met there by chance. Her dad, who was the director of Sant Martí's suburb slaughterhouse had died and she had to be an ambulant seller to earn money.
