Joaquim Crima, Russian: , a Guinea-Bissauan-born farmer, is a former independent candidate in the 2009 Srednyaya Akhtuba election. as the first black man to run for head of the district, Crima received the nickname, "the Russian Obama". However, both he and another black candidate for the post, Filipp Kondratyev (the son of a Ghanaian father and a Russian mother) came in third (with 4.75%) and last respectively against the United Russia incumbent.
