Kathleen O'Day Wynne (born May 21, 1953) is a Canadian politician and the 25th Premier of Ontario. In office since 2013, she is a member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, representing the riding of Don Valley West for the Liberal Party. She is the first female premier of Ontario, the first openly gay head of government in Canada, and the second openly gay head of government in the English-speaking world, after former governor James McGreevey of the U.S. state of New Jersey.
