Katie Horner is an american meteorologist, Katie joined KMOV, News 4 in January 7th, 2013, She is the 4 Warn Meteorologist alongside Robin Smith on News 4 at Noon, and is part of the markets only all female newscast on News 4 at 5 pm with Sharon Reed and Jasmine Huda. Katie spent her younger days in Bellevue, NE, It was there she experienced her first tornadoes and developed her passion for the weather. She's been forecasting the weather since 1989, Where she began her career in WEAR-TV 3 in Pensacola, FL, In 1994, Katie moved to Kansas City and joined KCTV 5 to become a Chief Meteorologist, where she spent for 18 years. Katie appreciates teaching children about the weather and has even written a book titled, Brainstorming...A Creative Guide to Help Parents and Children through Severe Weather. Katie has been actively involved in br**st cancer awareness through the Susan G. Komen Foundation. In addition to the race for the cure, you could find Katie emceeing or competing in countless 5ks, 10ks, and even a triathon, She also enjoys skiing, snorkeling, trail jogging and road cycling, Katie is looking forward to hooking up with some of the St. Louis bike groups and exploring the back roads.
