Lenora Claire (born June 1, 1980 in New York City) is an American art curator, model and writer based in Los Angeles. Claire first gained national attention when an art show she created, “Golden Gals Gone Wild, ” debuted at the World of Wonder Gallery in Hollywood during the summer of 2007. Known for her trademark neon red hair and what the LA Weekly has described as "her Jessica Rabbit-like form, " Claire has also modeled for a number of celebrity photographers and pin-up artists.Contents [hide]1 Art curator work 2 Modeling work 3 TV appearances 4 Writing work 5 External links 6 References Art curator workClaire’s initial work as an art curator and overall presenter began with her Apocalipstick events at the California Institute of Abnormal Arts. This led to an affiliation with the Jennifer Lopez owned Conga Room, where Claire produced art events under the name “Low Brow in High Heels”. In December 2004, Claire produced former Marilyn Manson bassist Gidget Gein`s first art show in Hollywood, titled “Gollywood.” She has also presented her own work in other shows, including the World of Wonder Gallery’s “Just Britney” presentation.Her most successful exhibit to date is “Golden Gals Gone Wild” in summer 2007, featuring erotic depictions of the cast of the American sitcom The Golden Girls. Following a TMZ.com report on the exhibition, further stories on it ran in The Globe, LA Weekly, the LA Times, Los Angeles Magazine, Defamer and NPR`s Wait Wait, Don`t Tell Me. Due to the success of the exhibition as well as a follow-up later in the year, “Merry Titmas”, Claire was named "LA`s hottest curator" by LAist. Modeling workClaire began modeling shortly after graduating from high school at the age of 15. Over the years Claire has modeled for a number of presentations and clients, including celebrity artists Olivia De Berardinis and Austin Young as well as alternative retail chain Hot Topic.Claire appears in the 2009 update to the book LA Bizarro, The USA Network book American Character A Photographic Journey, as well as the Patrick Ecclesine book Faces of Sunset Boulevard, a study of various California notables and celebrities.Claire has also appeared in over 30 music videos, most notably the Dean Karr-directed "Fallen Leaves" by Canadian rock band Billy Talent, which went on to win the Much Music video of the year award.TV appearancesClaire’s first appearance on TV came at the age of 7, when local news outlets interviewed her after she spoke with the Los Angeles Public School Board regarding funding for the highly gifted program she was enrolled in. She also appeared on a episode of Reading Rainbow at around the same time. Starting in 2005, Claire made appearances on the television show The Queer Edge with Jack E. Jett on the now defunct Q Television Network where she could be seen doing stunts such as eating lightbulbs and interviewing Party Monster author James St. James while standing on top of a trample fetishist.In 2008, Claire was selected by French cable network Canal Plus to serve as the underground guide to Los Angeles for Allez a L.A.!, an episode of a five part series hosted by Antoine de Caunes that ran in November of that year. As part of their coverage, Canal Plus filmed Claire`s 28th birthday party at the Houdini Mansion.In November 2008 Claire announced via her Myspace site that she had a television show in development with producer Prudence Fenton (Pee Wee`s Playhouse, Liquid Television).Writing workFrom 2004 to 2008, Claire was on staff at Frontiers in Los Angeles, where she conducted interviews with a number of celebrities, including John Waters, Elvira, Bob Mackie, Lynda Carter, Allee Willis and Julie Newmar.
