She was an Action démocratique du Québec (ADQ) Member of the National Assembly for the electoral district of Groulx from 2007 to 2008. She was elected as the federal Member of Parliament for Rivière-des-Mille-Îles in the October 19, 2015 general election, as a member of the Liberal Party of Canada.
