María Emma Mejía Vélez (born 27 September 1953) is a Colombian journalist and diplomat. She is currently the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Permanent Representative of Colombia to the United Nations in New York. She was appointed by Presidential Decree 2750 of 24 November 2013, and presented her credentials to Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations, on 25 February 2014.
