Marintia Escobedo Santibáñez (born on June 17, 1960 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico), known professionally as Marintia Escobedo, is a Mexican television personality, actress, journalist, writer and life coach. After thorough thought, her mother, Maria Teresa Santibáñez, decided she did not want her baby to have a common name. She wanted her to be "unique" and made up a name for her. So one could say that "Marintia" is the result of her mother's inspiration in addition to her rejection of copied names. Her father, Salvador Escobedo, readily agreed. She has one sister, Nini, who is an aesthetician / educator.
