Marc Staal (born January 13, 1987) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman and alternate captain for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is the younger brother of teammate Eric Staal and the older brother of Jordan Staal of the Carolina Hurricanes, as well as Jared Staal, who plays in the ECHL. Of the four brothers, Marc is the only defenceman.
