Short Biography
Alaina Whitaker auditioned in Dallas, Texas for season seven of American Idol, where she sang a rendition of, "Stronger", by Faith Hill. Alaina received her golden ticket and moved onto the Hollywood Rounds. She performed, "Until You Come Back To Me", by Stevie Wonder, and she successfully proved to the judges that she deserved to be in this competition. As she moved onto the Top 24, it was the first week where the contestants had to perform in front of a live audience. Alaina chose, "More Today Than Yesterday", by Spiral Staircase as her first pick to start off the season. The performance wowed the judges and solidified her spot next week. 20 contestants remained, and she chose, "Hopelessly Devoted", from one of her favourite movies Grease, originally sung by Olivia Newton-John. This performance left the judges swaying towards both ways, some liked it but others didn`t. The next day, Whitaker was eliminated from the show.
