Matthew "Matt" Carkner (born November 3, 1980) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League (AHL). He was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens 58th overall in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft and has also previously played for the Ottawa Senators, San Jose Sharks and New York Islanders.
