Ian Hunter was born on June 3, 1939 in Oswestry, Shropshire, England as Ian Hunter Patterson. He is known for his work on Toys (1992), Fright Night (1985) and Breaking the Waves (1996).Trivia (10)Lead vocalist and guitarist of the rock band Mott the Hoople.Began a solo career in 1975 after Mott the Hoople disbanded.Joined the English rock band Mott the Hoople as lead singer in 1969.Appeared as a special musical guest on David Letterman in September 2000.Wrote the popular songs "Once Bitten Twice Shy", "Ships" and "Cleveland Rocks".Performed alongside Mick Ronson, David Bowie and Queen at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in April 1992.David Bowie wrote the song "All the Young Dudes" for Mott the Hoople in 1972.
