Ned Benson

Short Biography

He grew up in New York City then attended Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts and Columbia University, where he graduated from in 2001 with a BA in English and Film. He has written and directed three short films including Four Lean Hounds (2003), which he directed right out of Columbia, then more recently The Westerner (2010), and a just completed new short, which were each made on a budget of three hundred dollars. He has multiple feature films in development including In Defiance of Gravity (????) and The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby: His (2013) both of which appeared on the Black List. He has also appeared as an actor in such films as Imaginary Heroes (2004)_ and writes for the theater. He spends his time between Los Angeles and New York.
