Mary Elliot had a life in entertainment. Singing, dancing and beauty contests in her early youth, later on, she sang in nightclubs and worked as a model (she publicized the first rubber swimsuit for Goodyear Tire Co.). In the 1940's, she acted in a few movies, entertained the troops in WWII and, in 1945, she married actor Robert Cummings. After her marriage, she raised her 5 children and worked extensively in charity.
