Short Biography

Rebecca grew up in the Seattle area. Her mother got her into film when she was young watching everything from Hitchc*ck to Blake Edwards. "One of my favorite memories my mother shares with me is when she was a little girl spending her allowance on movie magazines and listening to the Academy Awards on her radio." Rebecca took a job as a projectionist to stay close to movies during her school years.Rebecca has always loved capturing her friends and family on film, but has only recently begun her professional career as a filmmaker. She was also cast in a role in the 2004 Seattle production Far Too Gone. After earning her first imdb.com-worthy credit, she went on to direct her first film, Candy Apple Red, and is in production on her second short, "a subtitled ending".When asked why she made the film Candy Apple Red she said "My dreams tell stories I`ve only seen. It`s time I get them onto the screen. I have wanted to be a director from birth, now I have my material.”Rebecca’s first foray into directing was a collaborative effort. “I feel as if everyone helped create this movie. They were all so amazingly supportive.”Rebecca was married August 7th 2005 to artist Jason-Paul Frost. Together in 2006, Jason-Paul and Rebecca created what is now known as Rebecca Pauline Films.
