Dr. David Ashrow

Short Biography

David was Born and raised in Portland, OR, The only boy and the youngest of 4 children. His Parents were Russian Immigrants. He graduated From the University of Oregon after serving in the Pacific (Pearl Harbor) with the outbreak of World War II. He recieved a D.D.S. degree from the college of Physicians and Surgeons in San Francisco, CA where he was elected to 2 honorary societies and the Academy of Dentistry International. He was a pioneer in the field of pediatric dentistry practicing in Santa Maria, CA. and Ventura, CA. He was also the president of the Santa Barbara-Ventura Counties Dental Society. During dental school, David married his college sweetheart, Audrey Jeanette Tucker, who is the Mother of his two daughters. In 1976, David married June Allyson in Palm Springs, CA and they moved to Ojai the following year after he retired from dentistry. During the early years of his retirement, David Found a part-time career as an actor and became a member of the Screen Actors Guild. He appeared in several made-for-television movies, two feature films and directed three commercials. David was an avid hiker, biker and skier and volunteered with the Humane Society of Ventura County.
