Herman Wedemeyer was born on May 20, 1924 in Hilo, Hawaii, USA as Herman John Wedemeyer. He was an actor, known for Hawaii Five-O (1968), Hawaii Five-O (1997) and Magnum, P.I. (1980). He died on January 25, 1999 in Honolulu, Hawaii.Trivia (9)Played halfback/tailback for the Los Angeles Dons (1948) and Baltimore Colts (1949) of the All-America Football Conference (a rival of the National Football League, 1946-1949).Wedemeyer was elected to the Honolulu City Council as a Republican in 1968, and then elected to the state House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1970. He won re-election in 1972.Inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1979.Halfback on the football team of St. Mary's College (Moraga, CA), 1943, 1945-1947.Herman is the older brother of Charlie Wedemeyer.
