Robert Lee "Bob" Backlund (born August 14, 1949) is an American professional wrestler with an in-ring career spanning over 30 years. He was a two-time WWWF/WWF (World Heavyweight) Champion. Backlund holds the record for the second longest WWE World Heavyweight Championship reign, behind Bruno Sammartino's first. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.
