Ezio Bosso

Short Biography

Ezio Bosso is a pianist, orchestra leader internationally renowned. He is 44 years old and is from Turin. He learned to read music before learning to write, and by the age of 4 years he was already playing piano. As a kid, for three years, he was bassist for the band Statuto, soon abandoned for classical music. At 16, his debut as a soloist. One of the most influencial composers of our time, orchestra conductor (including the London Symphony), he wrote scores for various movies and ballet exhibitions, winning two David di Donatello Awards. In 2011 he had to undergo brain surgery for the removal of a tumor that has precipitated, in his words, into "a tale of darkness". After surgery Bosso has been suffering from an autoimmune disease. He had forgotten how to speak and to play, he had to relearn everything. But he did not stop. Only in 2015 he recorded his first album "The 12th Room", double CD for piano, recorded with audience, in a public room in Gualtieri, Italy.
