Short Biography
Folke West (Westerholm) is a Finnish television producer, reporter, tour leader and lecturer. Folke has visited more than a hundred countries and has made more than 370 tourism documents mainly in the 1990s. He has produced nearly 600 TV programmes and also acted as the producer of Yöradio (Night Radio) radio programme of Radio Ykkönen in Finland. Tourism programmes made by West were Matkamies and Folken matkassa among others. In Finland many of his tourism programmes are generally considered as somewhat camp, mainly because of his extraordinary speaking style.
