Johan Franzén (born December 23, 1979) is a Swedish professional ice hockey winger currently playing for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is often referred to by Red Wings fans as Mule, a nickname given by Steve Yzerman. He is a Stanley Cup champion with the Red Wings in 2008. Franzén was originally drafted by the Red Wings in the third round, 97th overall, of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
