Short Biography

Kaouther Ben Hania Director, screenwriter, born in Sidi Bouzid, Tunisia.After graduating from high school, Kaouther Ben Hania, a member of the Tunisian Federation of Amateur Filmmakers, joined the Ecole des Arts et du Cinéma in Tunis (EDAC) between 2002 and 2004, where she directed three films of schools including La brèche , A short film that won several awards.In 2003, she participated in the Euromed-funded feature-length writing workshop Aristote. She studied at the Fémis Summer School in Paris in 2004 before enrolling in continuing education in the script department in 2005.In 2006, she made her first professional short film " Moi, My sister and the thing "and then joined the founding team of the chain Aljazeera Documentary and worked there until 2007. In 2008 she obtained a master 2 in Paris 3 the Sorbonne new. Her research paper is on: "The documentary: fiction with or against the documentary."In 2010 she signed a 75-minute documentary "Imams Go to School" which is a hit with festivals. "Le Challat de Tunis" (2013) is his first feature film.
