Short Biography

Krissy Wood was a model, legendary groupie and wife of Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood. She was the groupie extraordinaire who counted two Beatles and a Led Zeppelin guitarist among her lovers and a Rolling Stone as her husband. The woman who had affairs with Eric Clapton, George Harrison, John Lennon and Jimmy Page, and married Ronnie Wood, was reduced to selling treasured mementos of her past life. Having not worked since her modelling days, Krissy was so desperate for money in the last weeks of her life that she apparently tried to get work in a supermarket. But days before she died, she told friends she had made it up with Ronnie; there was to be a trust fund for Jesse and she would live off the interest. The day before her death, Krissy called a friend to say all was well. Yet, 24 hours later, she lay dead on the sofa at a friend`s home, of a accidentally overdosed on Valium she was taking to combat her depression on 15th June 2005. She was 57.She died in poverty. More than 150 people attended her funeral at Mortlake Crematorium and Ronnie, who was there with Jo, was said to be distraught.
