Short Biography

An American film actor, ruggedly handsome, with a range of talent across several fields in entertainment. Robert Paul Taylor has proven that he can successfully segue from the big & small screen, theatre stage to book shelf.A native of San Francisco, Taylor paved a unique artistic route when he was cast as a dancer in a MTV commercial which led to work in back-to-back ads on the popular cable channel.He found success as a dancer, booking gigs in more than a dozen music videos including the p*ssy Cat Dolls' "Don't 'Cha, " Gwen Stefani's "Rich Girl" and Elton John's "Thankful" video made exclusively for his Red Piano Tour at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.Taylor has since appeared in television spots for such companies as Boost Mobile, Macy's, Citibank Visa, MTV, BET, DMI Lending, Syn-Visc, and Mitsubishi Televisions. Most recently he can be seen opposite Uma Thurman in the International Schweppes Campaign Commercials by David La Chapelle, lensed by Academy Award Winner Dion Beebe.His most recent television work includes appearances on Ray Romano's sophomore season "Men Of A Certain Age" on TNT, as well as Jerry Bruckheimer's smash prime time hit on CBS "Without a Trace".On the silver screen, he appears in Michael Bay's Transformers 3: Dark Of The Moon, as well as the Kevin Smith film, Red State. Robert plays a surfer in Vince Vaughn's Couples Retreat & was first seen in the Penelope Cruz romantic comedy "Woman On Top."Taylor has also spent considerable time on the stage and in several positions in the theatre, eight consecutive years to be exact, as a member & staffer of the Street School Artist Collective with dual city chapters In San Francisco & Los Angeles.Before he made his exit from the theatre Company, Taylor acted and co-produced in a considerable amount of the companies productions including short films & a touring stage production up & down the coast of California.Starting to document his life in a stack of books, Taylor has completed his first volume of Poetry titled "Drifting" which includes poetry from his late teens into his early twenties."Like This" soon followed which is currently sold in retail stores around the country.Next published, the following books in order "All Out War", "Of Everything I Once Loved" and "Solitary Man" are all full volumes of poetry & prose published by Street Fame Books.Keep an eye out for the growing collection anywhere books are sold.Robert is represented by RPM The Agency & Debra Manners Management & resides in Hollywood, California with his dog Charlie.
