Lloyd Vernon Kennedy (March 20, 1907 – January 28, 1993) was a starting pitcher in Major League Baseball. From 1934 through 1945, he played for the Chicago White Sox (1934–37), Detroit Tigers (1938–39), St. Louis Browns (1939–41), Washington Senators (1941), Cleveland Indians (1942–44), Philadelphia Phillies (1944–45) and Cincinnati Reds (1945). Kennedy batted left-handed and threw right-handed. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri. Kennedy attended college at what is now known as the University of Central Missouri, where the football field bears his name.
