Rubén Amaro, Jr. (born February 12, 1965) is an American former professional baseball player and General Manager. He played in Major League Baseball as an outfielder from 1991 to 1998. Amaro was named the General Manager of the Philadelphia Phillies on November 3, 2008, succeeding Pat Gillick and remained in that position until September 10, 2015. He is the son of former Major League Baseball player Rubén Amaro, Sr.
